The STAMP project is the development of New York States
second shovel-ready mega site designed for advanced
manufacturing, nano-tech oriented manufacturing
(semiconductor, solar, etc.), and large scale bio-
manufacturing projects. The 1,243 acre site has the
potential to employ 10,000 workers on-site and 20,000 to
30,000 jobs regionally when considering the supply chain and
construction effect at full build-out. The planned high-
tech oriented manufacturing and research and development
(R&D) campus style setting has been validated as “perfect”
for high tech manufacturing applications by CH2MHILL.
CH2MHILL is a global advanced electronics and semiconductor
manufacturing site selector, engineering and construction
firm. The company has a leadership role in SEMATECH, a
consortium of members and partners who make up 50% of the
worldwide chip market. This consortium also validated the
STAMP site as perfectly aligned for nano-technology
manufacturing.
